Quantum Hackathon

A hackathon is the fastest—and most fun—way to quickly understand what problems can be solved with quantum computing. This weekend, WACQT and IBM are organizing a hackathon in the quantum test bed, where around 40 creative participants will build, test, and learn together.

Building expertise

On January 24-25, the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technologies (WACQT), Chalmers Next Labs, and IBM are organizing a quantum hackathon at Chalmers University as an opportunity for students to discover the possibilities of quantum computing.
And initiatives like this are needed. According to IBM, 90% of quantum-ready organizations cite a skills shortage as the biggest obstacle to moving from idea to application.

"I expect a little chaos, a lot of creativity—and something brilliant at the end," says Sofie Skönvall, who is planning the event.
